Got to visit the Sovereignty studio on my recent trip down south, and obviously was lucky enough to bring home a few treats! One for the Midwest, one going Mid-Atlantic, and one staying right here at home;-) Got to meet the man behind the mayhem (amazingly a one-man show with the exception of a single partner!), and shared some discussions while enjoying one of his new Pillar Percs (been dying to test one and they are incredibly smooth lemme say!), a King Dub (BLAM!), and the original prototype for the Pillar, which was made like a bub with a diagonal mouthpiece coming off the side of the top, and there was a clear dome over the pillar so you could watch it rise as you ripped it! These new Pillars are outta-this-world and now I just gotta have me one (he had some tubing left that matches my Gridline - oh please...), wallet be damned LOL! I was in heaven, amongst the rows of Stemlines & diffuser tubes, all plastered with that most-glorious-of-labels, SOVEREIGNTY!!! A real humble guy, for someone with really such an major impact on the scene, his inventiveness is off-the-charts when it comes to designing new functional ideas for his tubes. He showed me an intense "Peyote Ball" perc in a fat 75mm bore tube, which resembled a big glass disco ball all gridded-out! And a sick fully worked Stemline with a big clear slick-looking sculpted attachment, and some other little treats like an awesome skull sculpted by his shopmate CRS as well as some red, white, and blue tubing intended for a Dead-themed piece! We will hopefully be able to bring some more Sov happiness to the site as we move forward into the new year, but it's gonna take a little time as the demand for these pieces is obviously astronomical at the moment, and as I said, one man can only do so much! But let's all keep our fingers crossed in the meantime!
