A banner year in the boro industry for sure, big ups to 2009, as we saw a ton of amazing new art come out of the kilns this past year from across the country! Can't wait to see what 2010 has in store for us all; it's gonna be incredible I am totally positive!!!

Got a few more Dosacurves for the site (a super-dope Rasta one!), and some new glass (Moneycombs!) by SwoopMoney comin' at ya today! More curves to follow after the new year btw...

MERRY XMAS PT 2

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
The Christmas lights are all hung...
("Good news is that I truly out did myself this year with my Christmas decorations. The bad news is that I had to take him down after two days. I had more people come screaming up to my house than ever. Great stories. But two things made me take it down. First, the cops advised me that it would cause traffic accidents as they almost wrecked when they drove by. Second, a 55 year old lady grabbed the 75 pound ladder almost killed herself putting it against my house and didn’t realize that it was fake until she climbed to the top (she was not happy). By the way, she was one of the many people who attempted to do that. My yard couldn’t take it either. I have more than a few tire tracks where people literally drove up my yard.")

Those delightful holiday cards are all sent...

Now you're ready for some good old-fashioned awkward family moments at dinner...
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Make sure you get your fill of holiday food and drink;-)
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Just don't overdo it, we can all get a little carried away at this time of year...
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Maybe celebrate a little, go out and get yourself some tail...
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Uh, not you, you're doing it wrong pal...
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Look out for the Scrooges, and the Bah Humbugs...
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
And have yourself a Merry little Christmas now...

MERRY XMAS PT 1

Well it's the final countdown to Christmas Day, 2 shopping days left!
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Feeling trapped by all the pressure of holiday obligations?
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Haven't been able to find that gift for that special someone?
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
(If necessary, you can always fall back on a classic-hey, it's free too!)
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Good karma, pass it on, it's that time of year, right? To help those less fortunate than ourselves?
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
'Cause we'll soon be finding out who's been naughty & who's been nice...
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Despite slightly misunderstood best intentions and wishes...

("This is not what I meant when I said 'white woman' Goddamnit...")

HO-HO-HO, MERRY CHRISTMAS, LOL...

To be continued...

SITE CHANGES!

To first-time visitors, welcome, and please make sure you read the FAQ and all ordering info on the website. To those who have been here before, you will notice a few changes...

-For starters, all the prices! Yes, all prices on the site have been "lowered." But now California state sales tax of 9.25% will be added on to complete each transaction, whereas before it was computed into the listed prices.

-If you opt to pay via PayPal, we will now send a money request to your email address.

-We are working on lowering your shipping costs for the start of the new year, to only $4.20 for all slides and only slightly more for most other items, and large items such as tubes and bubs requiring a maximum fee of around $15.

-J.A.G. and Dale Sommers now have their own pages you will notice, as they indisputably each deserve no less for their amazing talents!

-And the biggest news going into our second year of business, we are slowly making plans for a storefront in the Bay Area!!!

For the start of 2010, I can definitely say you'll be seeing some more work by Opdenaker, gridded wetworks from ex-WS blower Slim, new stuff from Blue and Natey, more Salt hands, more from Zach P and Fro coming off the East Coast, new curves from Dosaglass, as well as plenty more boro goodness from the best and brightest in the industry, as we are always looking to add new artists to our always growing line-up here at SHINOBI GLASS! 'Cause you know I've always got my ear to the ground for hot new glass and whatever's poppin' up in our scene FOR YOU!

So a huge thanks to everyone out there for helping make our first year at SHINOBI GLASS such a success! Happy Holidays, and to a great new year for all!

NEW SLIDES!

Just rolled back with a small case of slides as you can see...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Couple more Marcel rettis, some Salt hand slides, a couple from Dale Sommers, and a bunch of Luke Wilson's disc-diffused slides! Will try to get 'em all up on the site by tomorrow!

And be sure to hit your local newsstand to grab yourself a copy of the newest ish of HIGH TIMES, featuring a spread on our friends at TEAM DEATH STAR, and where you can also see pics of Banjo's incredible glass rendition of Star Wars' General Grievous! (Photos don't do it true justice, as often is the case with glass art; luckily I got to see it in person last CHAMPS and it is beyond words!!!)

Thanks for stopping by, and Happy Holidays from SHINOBI GLASS!

E. ROSS

Recently was privileged to try out one of the incredible entries published in the first volume of SMOKED (GritCityInc.), E. Ross' glowing piece entitled, "Radiant Obsession." The Great Lakes glass magician used some killer millefiori, giant flat cane, and man, the vibrant coloring just pops! The Glass Alchemy Bright Orange Crayon is really complemented by the Rasta Gold Crayon and just sucks you right in! A heady monster double-bub, with some gorgeous sections, stands tall at around 14", yet despite some imperfections, it is still a truly amazing work of art!
