Welcome!

Thus marks the beginning of a new chapter in my life, that of the conception of SHINOBI GLASS!

Most likely, if you're here now, you are familiar with the home page/website (www.shinobiglass.com). Or some random search engine mysteriously directed you here somehow. Either way, welcome!

Let me start of with a little about how this project came into being. I sort of re-entered the world of borosilicate art glass during 2008, and at the start of this year, really began to delve into what was occurring in the industry. Was amazed and excited at the leaps and bounds that have happened in the last decade (nevermind the last year!), and for lack of any better employment opportunities (and having absolutely no desire to re-join the status quo of the work establishment), combined with the offer of some outside help, I decided to dive head-first into the arena of collectible & functional glass art, opening SHINOBI GLASS as an online retailer.

This was all slightly enabled by going over the hill from my home to Bezerkeley to Revere Glass to meet Dustin for a gift for some friends' recent wedding. There I also met Dave Strobel, and all the dogs, and Rita, and the rest of the crew at RGS, and the next thing I knew I was at AGE in Vegas with them, somehow acting in an "official" capacity for their new prodo line, Rebel Glass. Now I am at the shop over there almost all the time, running sales & distribution for them currently.

So this is going to be a way for me to connect with everyone, on both fronts (Shinobi & Rebel), to let them know what's going on, presently and in the future. This industry is on the crest of a gigantic tidal wave that has been slowly building momentum, and now, due to the culmination of several circumstances, as well as the proliferation of new artists, along with the technology also, that wave is about to roll over the entire nation, hitting the mainstream consciousness like never before. So without further ado, let's get started...

Here's some toys I've recently acquired...

An oil set-up by one of the guys at RGS, complete with matching worked nail...

So at least I have some stuff to play with in my downtime, sheesh! But there's more important things to discuss, like what's new at SHINOBI GLASS! So stay tuned all you glassheads...
